. It becomes a Planchet when it goes through the annealing and upsetting process. Upsetting is where the coin to be gets a rim and the dimensions are first changed. I need the dimensions of the Blank before it becomes a Planchet.
Actually annealing happens before you move metal so In the case of a 64 a silver billet is poured then annealed (softened) before turning said billet into a sheet
Type 1s were annealed before they were born
Mike a blank has a tapered edge from the press it's like cutting a fresh loaf of white bread that Dosent spring back up gonna be hard to calculate and then the weight loss in the reeding and upsetting if that helps complicate your easy math problem even more

I dont think it even has strike through. I seriously dont think the label says it does neither or he would have been quick to show proof. If it is struck through its somewhere else on the coin. Its not that spot. Just another person who is mad because no one will agree that its something its not.
Or he can't carry his entire collection in his front pockets like some ⬆️

Would it really be fair to accuse our members of incompetence under these circumstances?
Did I ask for anyone's advice on the grade did I ask if it's an error worth sending to ngc did I ask if anyone agreed with ngc NO I asked if anyone could Id the only part of importance but I now see you all need a label to guess it's corrosion
In any event, if the coin was already certified as an error, you didn't need their help and wasted their time.
Ngc uses a blanket title which usually isn't good enough for me I like to determine what was struck thru your all wasting my time by blowing smoke about nothing I asked look at you talking grades when the thing is graded how dumb

Corrosion is not considered an error, it is damage.
Subject to what foreign object is causing the corrosion
The coin came back from ngc with a straight grade not a damaged label or body bag

It's worth what someone is willing to pay it's book value would be under 100 dollars some dealers would ask less then that and some more

You can check eBay for prices
It's a common coin you should be able to find a few in like condition for price comparison

Tom Brady game worn Morgan

Grading would be 1/3 of the value of that coin how ever it was stored since 1854 is probably still ok today

I bet his thumb is covering the word copy that one won't fit my Chinese mint collection
-
Look like a real 1 cent
Weight seems right for a variety 3 ihc in that condition
The rim could be flared from going round and round in a coin counter or dryer

Looks like a watch fob
So I think Bob is correct years of service retirement gift
