Better be careful JKK, they might want you to become a moderator, or worse-AN ADMIN. Lol! I have always tried to do it correctly but spoonfuls I hate not getting any response at all. Even a Karen you have lost your mind is better than nothing.

@MohawkIt seems I confirmed your info. I should have read all the responses before commenting myself. Ooops!

That's where they intend to go, more or less. Have my coins I am keeping indefinitely in the plastic cases so they don't move. Have to keep the past preserved right?

@TridmnI did not look myself, but there is an FS Variety DDR for the 1964 that you might look for.

@TridmnYes Sir, they are awfully pretty. Bright Red! I would probably put them into a binder for keeps myself.

Ty Karen. I certainly will. Either way though they are beautiful coins. Probably keep them even if there is an error. 2 64s full red. Couldn't ask for much more from just 2 pennies. Especially that year, plus to have 2 different strikes, just makes my day

Hi Tridmn,
Yes, in 1964 proofs were made in Philadelphia. Proof production shifted to San Francisco in 1968. Before that, proofs were made in Philadelphia.

Even if both are just regular pennies, they are both in great shape. Good to add to my collection.

Were the proofs made in philly at the time? I thought they would have come from SF.

From the pics, the top one looks like a proof and the bottom is a business strike. No SMS coins there. The "1964 SMS" issue is a controversial one but regardless of the controversy, a "1964 SMS", if it exists at all, isn't going to be anything you would just find out in the wild. You have a perfectly normal proof and a perfectly normal business strike.

I’m interested in your lighting bit. Is there a link? And in your edits, are you combining individual shots? As in focus brackets?

One more here...Tooting my own horn...I do take phenomenal shots that become great photos by the time I'm done with them. All with very little effort but maybe a little too much time.

At least with his high power scope, we may get to see the structure of milk spots and flow lines.

Let’s start with one simple truth: if you need high magnification to show something, it’s not important. All the “best” errors or varieties need no magnification at all in order to see them. I do kind of sort of have a bionic eye, of a type. Both of my eyes have lenses in them that have serial numbers. We call it cataract surgery.
By the way, your pics are fine, for as far as they go. But you’ve fallen into a serious trap: that more magnification is better. It’s not. Sometimes less is more, often, in fact.
