I need to keep my head on a swivel. I disrespect a lot of the decisions people write about on here.

Well, I want it known that as I was buying a bottle of Bailey's for the "spousal unit", I was also picking up some Woodford's Reserve Bourbon for me and a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey for when my kid visits.

No one will EVER get me to pay more for a bagged to death MS61 than an attractive AU58, of ANY series.I literally believe the 58 should bring a higher price. Maybe if I cared about Registry points, but I don't.

I can't blame you here. HOWEVER, and this is a biggie, even the way people react to this pandemic is HIGHLY predictable once one knows another person's "politics". Politics is getting to be (It wasn't always like this, I swear.) the way people think about everything, whether they realize it regularly or not. My current theory is that our choices of media outlets leads ALL of us down a particular primrose path. Some people are aware of it, others aren't. We've become two "tribes", and I don't see it ever changing again.

At the CCC, show and tell is a competitive activity, with all members judging all presentations.

The Chicago Coin Club, one of the top clubs in the nation, of which I am a member, cannot do auctions like most clubs do, because "no two members are into the same material".

Yes, when they slow down.

Don't give up easily on this one. And I usually am a critic of this kind of stuff. I noticed the misshapen O right away. This might be "real" even if it's not my cup o' tea.

This is as much (or more) a quality play as a quantity play. They have "social media" in place, but it's just so sad.

I don't doubt they're different now for a second. At the ANA course I took (Brian Silliman's), it was represented to me that a typical coin gets looked at for 3-10 seconds at a modern TPGS. Moderns at the low end of that range. Only variety attribution takes longer, and you pay extra for that.

At least NYC never had to endure Wilson Goode.

By the way, most first-timers running for Board seats lose, and I'm not special. I'll likely lose too. But you can't get known any other way.

I'm now about 5 weeks from retirement from state government service, and I will probably NOT throw away my business suits. When I pack for a 5-day ANA show, like this August in Rosemont, my suitcase will include 7 ANA golf/polo shirts, 5 blue for the actual show days and 2 red for the day before and day after, when I'm still working, but it will also include two business suits, an Armani and a custom made one from a small Italian tailor. I own one Hawaiian shirt. I haven't worn it since I left Hawaii in 1994.

Wasn't the adjective that was used "influential"? It was! Dealers, particularly BIG dealers, who deal in BIG coins, are surely "influential", both in how they provide a service in helping the high end build major collections, the unsurprising part, but also that these types always seem to dominate the ANA Board of Governors elections. SOMEBODY keeps voting for the dealers. It surely isn't me!

Which list is Hall on? The incredibly ugly Hawaiian shirt wearing list? Hands down winner.
