Why are the ranking numbers on my control panel different from the little ranking flag when I look at the set?

Folks I have over 50 fantastic World coins up for auction this week at Heritage. Most all are Top Pops and were part of my collections here at NGC for many years. These are some of my best and favorite pieces but it's time for others to enjoy them as I have.
Good luck!
Phil
You can view and bid on my entire consignment in the Wednesday & Thursday World & Ancient Coins Select Auction #232223 at the following link: https://coins.HA.com/c/search.zx?saleNo=232223&collection=55&FC=0&type=friend-consignorlive-notice

I just purchased an NGC 1978 Canadian Voyaguer dollar off ebay. Is it eligible for my competitive type set. I can't find a listing for it anywhere. Thanks for your input

As long as you're cruising Charlie and taking in the sights, may I suggest making a pit stop at an older thread, begun Feb.3, 2017, entitled:
"I C C S - Any Opinions?"
I myself have never dealt with them, but others here may have.
Thanks!

When I tap on NGC census it goes to a page that says US coin census and gives you a selection of different US denominations. How do I get to world (Canada) coins? Thanks again for your help.

I am going to break the cardinal rule set by @Oldhoopster and provide you with a preliminary itinerary.
On the page listing NGC services, tap on "NGC Census." Three lines down you should find "Canada" (boasting 709,585 results). After tapping on that, the last, four entries down should read "Canada - Maritime Provinces" (boasting 5,216 results. Tap on that line, and the whole wild wonderful world of Canadian Maritime Provinces will be listed and you can begin your search using the denominations listed as your guide. Now, as far as completeness and accuracy are concerned, bear in mind administrative tasks such as keeping up with the various censuses is an on-going, never-ending endeavor and Covid-19 protocols may have impacted up-to-date tabulation. You've mentioned "tokens," I have not explored any of this further but if you have enough of them to warrant inclusion in a Set Registry, you can always direct your request to the thread, entitled: ASK NGC... An exceedingly polite answer shall be elicited. It is also quite possible a kindred spirit on the Forum may provide you with further guidance.
A note about the distinguished member who chose the moniker @Oldhoopster... he is a fount of nuts-and-bolts knowledge, no doubt about it. But rather than hand you a fish, he would rather you learn how to fish. Nothing wrong with that and he knows I have the utmost regard and respect for him and his above-board, formal way of doing things. 🐓
Thanks be to you and the oldhoopster. My other moniker is Hoopstar1!

Because NGC is collector friendly and recognizes that not every collector is a kool-aid chugging fool like the PCGS only registry. I buy coins not plastic, if I like a coin and that coin is in an NGC holder great I'll buy it, PCGS holder, great I'm a buyer, ICG, ANACS, whatever the plastic is not the goal. That NGC allows both brands of plastic is a good thing and why I have over 70 registry sets here and just a couple of incomplete sets on the PCGS site.
Isn't that nice - maybe I'm too much of a purist. I have a few sets (and #1's) in this registry also. I have maybe 5 pcgs coins. I came to the ngc registry because I think their grading is more accurate Also I found (sadly) that generally pcgs resale prices are lower. I have NO coins in the pcgs registry.

Are there any competitive sets for canadian maritime provinces? I'm looking for prince edward island in particular. Thanks!

I just added 2020d ms68 sacagawea dollar 6261915-031 to my collection. NGC only allowed it in my sacagawea complete set. Why isn't it eligible for other sets? I actually got it to upgrade the MS67 that is already in my native american reverse set. I also thought it would go in my mint state 2000-date set.

Why are pcgs allowed at all? Why can't they just go to the pcgs registry?

I once submitted a Susan b straight from the mint wrapper that came back ungraded and labeled "scratched". Of course they kept the fees. I resubmitted the coin and again got it back with no grade. How could it have no grade?? Not even details??
After taking it to my local coin shop and having it looked at under a microscope they didn't find any scratches either

Why?
in NGC Registry
Just looking at my Pr70 Sacagawea dollar set that is complete with all proof 70's and yet it is only ranked #2. Why? What do I need to kick it back up to #1?
-
Do you have any Canadians to offer that are not toned?
-
They have been this way for weeks. Also I just tried to enter 2021 d MS69 sacagawea dollar into my set and it says ngc is not accepting this coin for competitive sets yet. What gives. The coin is ngc cert # 6540465 -048. I just purchased it and would like to add it in. There is a slot for it and I already have a ms66 listed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
-
Why in my set listings does it show a different ranking than it shows on the set?
