Very recent newp that I had Bob image for me.
-
I just made a couple of purchases from GC tonight. These are my 1st copper purchases from them.
I will probably need to sell a kidney, or at least several of my buffs after the price on the 10-S (65 BN). I have a mini love affair with the 10-S as it was my first mint state pre 1920 wheat cent. It was a $90 purchase on ebay that I sold to a dealer for $125. I aslo bought one on ebay for $125 in an NGC 65 RB holder and sold to a dealer for $275 (should have kept) then I bought an icg 64 RB for cheap and sold on ebay for $100 or so.
Needless to say I was not a serious collector that 1st year. However it did eventually spark my early wheat interest.
I paid up for this one, but it would be hard to find again. I have a feeling it will be stunning in hand. Hooray for me!
The 1919 looks like a nice colorful coin for my collection. Nothing crazy, but it is tough to find lincolns with color. Not sure what this one will look like in hand.
opinions are welcome good or bad
Also looking forward to some pro pics
Jim
I should add that I know the 1919 is easy to find with a great strike which is why it is low on my radar for a pre 1920 gem BN set. I bought this for the color only (which I hope is nice in hand) and for under $70 it cant be to bad a bargain.

This is it for me. No more indians

The toning gives it a cameo appearance. Cool coin

I like the 1907 very much.
Reminds me of this one I have.

Just received from Greatcollections
Very nice!
I need a 1920 like that
-
I demand larger pics

Just received this coin today from Jim(copper toning). Thanks again Jim!
Great looking Lincoln!! So how is it that a guy thats not "into" red cents have this to sell, riddle me that.
that is kinda funny.
Maybe not for me, but I know a nice cent when I see one.
Picked it up for $25 and very glad to find it a nice home for only $40 shipped.

four ninety five.
That must have been a very awkward situation for him.
Surely he was new to collecting?
-
I am not into red cents, however I like the look of this one.
Nice coin
-
Not really anything I needed or wanted, but I get to the coin shop very infrequently so I guess this was an impulse buy.
Low price and the holder is in great condition. I hate walking out with nothing.

+1 Nice color Jom

For a low MS grade this one has a ton of luster.
Reminds me a lot of a coin I recently sold. This 1929 is the coin that made me fall in love with copper of this color.
-
I really enjoy the PF cents that WL and Bob show off. I bet it is a fun way to collect and apparently very affordable.
-
Hard times that is a very eye appealing indian.
-
I recently sold this coin. Nice for the 63 grade.
-
I don't own this WOW piece anymore, but it was a in a NGC 66* slab.
I would love to own that piece as a type coin. Do you mind me asking what a piece like that was valued at.
I probably really do not want to know.

This was an ICG MS65BN.
And should be at least a PCGS 65BN.
This makes me nervous.
-
I have never checked. I do know that not a lot of early BN's make it above 65
-
Nice 12-S. MS-66?
Thanks, but no sir.
MS 65. I can only imagine NGC felt it was too dark? The luster pops even in low light. IDK maybe I will resubmit one day if I decide to sell.
Edited to add. The luster is satin and not a cartwheel. I am not an experienced grader but this may also hold the coin back?
-
Not just brown but DARK BROWN. But somehow it managed to savor really nice luster. The strike speaks for itself. I could not decide on an obverse pic so here are a few.
-
One of only 2 star graded halves for the date and one of only 65 for the entire Seated Half Dollar series (business strikes)...
I got two words for that coin.
BAD

I really like the strike on your 13-S
I strive to pick up coins with a strong strike, unless I am buying it for its color.
Mine is a 64BN. I very nice one imo.
Thanks Jim
