  1. In the past,I have posted pictures of a bill-style wooden nickel from the 1941 Clarksdale, MS DeSoto celebration that I purchased several years ago. Tonight, I was looking at exonumia on the 'bay, and found an auction for some more of those, but different denominations. With just over 11 minutes left in the auction, I quickly put it a bid, then sat and watched until it ended. I won. Seller's pics:
  2. At the suggestion of Mr. Lange, I have decided to start a thread listing known websites and individuals who sell counterfeit coins. This is done so that future readers of this forum will have advance warning about this problem. Please add any site or seller that you know to be selling fake coins. I will start with these three: Etsy. While I am sure that there are legitimate coin sellers on this site, it seems that most of the coins I have seen are fakes. '43 copper cents, 44 steel cents, and others are plentiful.
