In 1812, Great Britain was still at war with Napoleon and also was involved in a skirmish with the US called the War of 1812. Neither side particularly wanted to fight it, but it still had significant consequences for the future of North America.

Emergency conditions still applied with respect to Britain's coinage and so , in addition to the 1804 dollar shown last time, here is a 3 shilling Bank Token piece.

Very nice. I just picked up this white metal piece. It is a Middlesex D&H 185. It was kind of an impulse buy. I like Conder tokens but hadn't seen this one before. It is graded NGC MS62.

Condor tokens were a reaction to the shortage of coinage produced by the Mint at the time. There was no silver coinage produced dated 1788 to the Emergency coinage of the Napoleonic Wars.

Atlas Numismatics, out of New York, has added a lot of Condor Tokens to their inventory. If you are interested you might want to have a look at what they have.

thanks for the complement on my piece. I was lucky to get something like that. Compare the cost of that to a comparable Us coin of the era. Different snack bracket for wsure.
