"This would be a kick in the head"

The mint, as well as coin world seems to call the '08/07 reverse a VARIETY more so than an error. The mint still illustrates the '07 reverse on there site for the 2008W MS silver eagle. If this is indeed a VARIETY as the mint wants you to think, and not an error, there would be nothing to stop the mint from producing the 2008W in BOTH varieties for all of 2008. After all there is nothing illegal about it, and one way to correct a mistake is to make it intentional.

No I don't think there is even a remote chance of this happening, but there would be no prohibition to stop it from happening. Just something to think about!!
