STILL DON"T GET IT!!

I wish someone would explain the prices ask and receiving for the 2008 ASE with the Reverse of '07. Census reports over 10,000 graded with 4,700 or so in MS70. Where is the rarity? Even if only 47,000 minted. One writer indicated prices at $1,000 for an NGC and $2,100 for a PCGS. I expect that the 2008 W total mintage to be around 600,000 based on prior years and the correct reverse in MS70 is barely breaking $79.00. To make another point look at the 1997 Botanic, only about 55,000 minted with 34 in PF70UC - this coin should be $5,000 to $10,000 based on the '07 reverse. In addition, platinum coins generally have mintages much less than the 10,000 of the '07 reverse already graded, and the platinum coins don't command that kind of premium over the intrinsic value of the metal.

I am not trying to discourage those who purchased or otherwise own. I have 7 early releases '07 reverses myself, but only because I received them directly from the mint and sent them in for grading. I just wish someone could explain the pricing versus other modern coins with greater rarity.

Sorry for my ramblings, but feel many individuals are unfairly taken advantage of mearly because of the HYPE!
