Ebay never ceases to amaze me...

...As to what will sell and what won't.

A couple of weeks ago I listed several coins housed in NGC holders. Several were MS70 or PF70, all nice coins to be sure. Most of the coins barely sold for the cost of grading, and for the most part, I guess I can expect that, especially with modern coins.

This week, I have 13 coins listed, all raw. The auctions end in about an hour from now, and to my surprise, several of these coins are actually bid at the listed value. WOW!! One example is an 1826 Capped Bust Half. Has a couple problems, ie.. lightly cleaned and an obv scratch, but really nice detail. I was not really expecting to garner more than 45-50 dollars. Right now, an hour before the close, it is up to 65 dollars.

Just goes to show, you never know what will happen on ebay. Gotta love it though, and it really is fun.

Can I make a shameless plug for that half dollar...I have 65, do I hear 70?... The man in the blue shirt says 70, do I have 75? YES!! and now 80... going once... and now 85... keep it going... bid this lady up... :-)

Respectfully,

Michael Cooper
