I am told by NGC that multiple pics can now be uploaded to a journal. So I will give it a shot here.

This is a 1926 Modified Effigy Penny,  the rarer of two types made in that year.

No problem. The Spink catalogue may have an appendix in the back of it which has a bibliography of other reference material. Examples would be the two volume work of  JJ North on English hammered coins ,Freemans work on Bronze coins after 1860 and Marsh's two volumes on British Sovereigns and Half Sovereigns. There are websites and other places where some of these might be available, but the Peck book I mentioned earlier is pretty expensive.
