SELL the holder!!!

How many times have you been on the bourse floor and spied a coin that looked totally AWESOME... only to discover that it resided in a holder from NTC or MCCS or any of the "lesser" TPG slabs?? I would venture to say that has happened to most all of us. A great looking coin but in the wrong slab, so you let it slip through your fingers. Literally!!

Why not buy that gem for a fraction and put it in a REAL slab?? I have done this. Dealers will give you a substantial break because of the holder, and you in turn get a great coin. You can always have it put in your favorite holder. Better yet... have some real brass, like Jackson, and just crack that gem out and let Liberty be FREE!! (I love that Jackson does that...it's GREAT)

As long as NGC and PCGS are both in business, there will always be the rivalry of which is better. Who has the better slab (equal), which grades more consistantly, better if you will (NGC of course), which has better turn around (NGC most definately) and which sell better (arguably PCGS). I forsee both being around, so these questions will be unsettled for a while yet.

Be happy with the coin you get, in the slab you get. If you don't like it, dont buy it, and DON'T COMPLAIN about it!!

Have fun!! Life is too short to complain about little things like coins!!

This coin is graded by PCI as Proof 69 Deep Cameo. If it crossed to NGC as such, I would have a $18,000 half dollar... but it has TWO chances of crossing as PF69uc. Slim and NO. But heck, I got it for a song and it looks really great. While I really do not think it would get a 69, I think 68 is a real possibility. Not a "Deep" cameo, but certainly a cameo. I was happy with the price and the coin's appearance. Because it was in an off tpg slab, it was cheap!!

Respectfully,

Michael Cooper
