Request Score Change NGC???

uncommon commems

So I asked NGC for a score change...

Why? well i felt like my 1936d san diego in ms67 which scores 2495 points in the silver commem set should score higher than 1928 points which it scores in the type set. now there are some other type set "shrinkages" that i would consider unfair but dont apply to me as of now. the worst case being the Cincinnati/S in ms67 which would lose 2000 points because the type set uses the score of the Cincy/D. my 36D san diego is the rarer of the two san diegos but the type set grades it the same as the 35s san diego. the 567 point punishment, spanking, whatever you want to call it, made me "request score change".

It hasn't been that long since i made the request, but i've yet to hear from NGC regarding my request, one way or the other. since this is not likely to be the only time i ask for a score change, i'd like to know some more about it other than requesting a score change and not hearing a word from NGC. like i'm sure to be adding ms68 oregons to my "Pitching a tent on the Oregon Trail" type set and i will be replacing my ms68 1937D oregon with perhaps a 1938S in my "Westbrook Collection" type set. The point differential is great enough for me to request a score change, but if i need to get notarized paperwork from my congressman to get a reply, then maybe i wont request a score change....

I hope to hear from NGC soon and would even more like to see an increase in my san diegos score. I'm really pretty fond of NGC for the registry and generally consider NGC a top-notch company. This lapse in attention to my request is not the norm but an aberration of the norm, which i'm certain will be addressed. adios, dave
