1609 Jetson(Token) County of Flanders
Well I tried a few times to get this coin up. Well it's here.. Won it At an auction at a great price. Looked up the history there was so much it actually confused me. I did recognize the different countries on the shield. The Feur di Lis. England, Scotland, and and also on the shield three Irish Shamrocks. This was something England did. They would put the countries they owned.. It also has the sheep hanging for shearing and for eating. It has the names of Elizabeth and Albert. These were made.at the end of a twelve year war. The low lands of France were the county of Flanders. Many different countries were involved. Spain, , Scotland Belgum, Netherlands that's why it was called the Spanish Netherlands. To get into the history behind these tokens I would need allot more pages. I tried for two weeks to get the history in order before I had to give up. I figure the token in the shape it was in for being over four hundred years old was pretty good. The detail also is good. I saw a couple on the net one was made of bronze sold for five hundred and change. I don't care about the value of this one I like it that's value for me. I will send it in to NGC and see what I get. I will be happy with any grade as long as it's protected. When I send it in and get it back I will post it. I'm terrible sorry I don't have more history for you. Next journal. i will be back to the way I usually write a journal . Thanks Mike.
