So I was taking my first photo of my newest coin, and WHAM, something special jumped out at me. A quick look on NGC Explorer, and confirmed what I was seeing. I Just found a 1854 G$1 Type 2 DDO slabbed in a plain vanilla 1854 Type 2. Check it out, let me know if you agree. some Guides say it's worth $1800, but that is clearly optimistic. A non-CAC AU53 was sold by GC 1 year

My CAC Type Set Progress

Recent additions to my CAC approved Type Set (custom NGC registry set). And my thoughts on future purchases. I have been hunting for new coins to add to my CAC Type set, and it's getting harder! I recently created a "want-list", and listed every circulation strike US coin type I could think of. I marked many types as "TOO COSTLY" to buy, as my budget is $100 to $350 per coin.
