eBay made the right decision

Fraud averted I had noticed a ebay member with zero feedback selling a 1807 high relief-flat edge $20 double eagle in a PCGS holder, the grade stated MS65. The problem is that no certification number was listed, also the slab was so blurred you couldn't read anything, there appeared two stock photos that were clear. Great disapointment short lived

A lesson learned! I have searches saved for certain coins on Collectors Corner, I had received an Alert that a 1861 Silver Dollar PCGS XF40 had been listed, this was on a certain Friday evening. Through this website I agreed to purchase this coin, the website said the dealer would contact me. I was happy that I would finally purchase this elusive coin. PCGS Mechanical Error

Who or what is attributing their coins? I purchased what I thought was a 1823 Broken 3 Capped Bust Half Dollar from Heritage Auction on 3/19/11. The PCGS holder designated this variety on the holder. I listed this coin on ebay. I received two emails through ebay that this coin was not a broken 3 variety. I looked at the coin more closely, and determined it was not this variety. I canceled my auction. I contacted PCGS through email, I was asked to submit a photo of this coin. Several days
