Cleaning silver?

I'm new to collecting, obviously.

 

I wanted to send a few coins to NGC to have graded.

Are there any cleaning techniques that wont damage the coins value?

Or should I leave them alone.

DON'T CLEAN YOUR COINS!!!!

 

If your coins are of high enough value, or have strong sentimental value, then NCS is generally a good deal. If the coin can be improved, they can do it. However, until you have extensive knowledge and extensive experience, you should not even attempt to clean your coins yourself, in any shape, way, or form. You will only do damage, and lose money. If you provide pictures, some of us may be able to help you further.
