I got 2 for 5. The other is a 40 D that looks really simular

 

 

On a real note I would mark this one MS 66 FS

Super nice nickel Bruce. 1940-D nickels are among the most colorful of the pre-1950 issues, indeed among the most colorful of the series. They are also nearly always well struck and full of detail. Yours is a great example.

Hi Bruce - I think that 66 5FS is right - it's barely shy of 6FS. Pretty coin.
