Ranking Error?

My user page shows my rank as being 2564 but when I find myself on the list of all the ranked users I show up as 2557 (as of 7/18/07). My page always puts me several places below what I'm listed as, usually by 7 to 12 places in rank. Is this a registry error or is it an intentional feature of the system (because it has been like this for weeks).

 

I realize this is a pretty minor error but it bugs me.
