I bought this 1939D lincoln and I have a question

The entire Bust is almost outlined.It's like there isalmost a gully outlining the bust.

All along the brow it's litely Doubled.

I have attached a scan. I was wondering what is causing it.

Oh yea,In Lincoln's there are some abnormally pronounced hair going above the ear to the top of his head.

 

 

It just doesn't look normal.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

 

The color is a bit off.It looks almost bronze.

Tough to tell from the scan but it looks machine doubled. As for the color, it looks lightly handled and fairly normal, but who knows without seeing it in person.

Minor misaligned die. The line going part way around the rim is a dead giveaway.
