Remove coin from Mint capsule?

Should coins be removed from their mint capsules prior to submitting to NGC? For example, Silver Eagle Proofs come in capsules. Is it better to remove them, and put the coin in a 2x2, or should I just send in the coin still in its capsule? If so, can I get the capsule returned to me?

Yes, coins are typically removed from their mint capsules and submitted in 2x2 flips. However, you may submit coins in mint capsules but there is a $1 special handling charge per coin and we do not return the capsule.
