1741 Portuguese 1000 Reis

3 posts in this topic

This is not my coin, I lifted the photos from Heritage because I am feeling lazy. I was given one of these Portuguese 1000 Reis but can find no information on the size or weight of the coin. The one I have is very thin and since I have never seen one before perhaps it is just a replica for some jewerly purpose. Can anyone shed any light on this coin for me. Thanks in advance.

the dimension and weight seem about right. Next step is to have it autheticated. Thanks for the help.
