What type of error is this ?

Hi all

 

got this 50p while away on holiday in my change (whats the chances of a coin collector finding an error ?)

 

it is a 50p UK 2006, the Rev: is normal

Errors are so hard to figure out sometimes Dooly. This looks like post mint to me. Like something scraped across it. confused-smiley-013.gif

 

thats what it looked like to me on the first inspection but the rim lip is intact confused-smiley-013.gif

I'm leaning towards it being some sort of strike through, but I'm not sure of what. It could just be post-mint damage, but that seems less likely. A picture with less glare might help/

Hey, dooly, haven't seen you in a while.

 

My first reaction was it looks like it got run over (post mint made.) However, it also looks like it could be a lamination or strikethrough. It is hard to tell with the pictures.
