1970-S Lincoln Penny Error

9 posts in this topic

Hello, hi.gif

This coin I know is a error. My girlfriend got it at wal-mart the other day.......good thing I sent her to go get some beer. yay.gif

This is a Lincoln Penny 1970-S with two heads one on both sides.

Will NGC grade this coin.......I never seen a double head coin graded?

Thanks SchatzyJr

WHAT???

That is an impossible feat for the mint to produce, even if they tried to put two head dies in, the collars that hold the dies are completly different, so this cannot happen...something is fishy here.

I think it is fake now.....

I just took two penny and dropped them on my desk and they make two different sounds when dropped. I don't have a scale so I cant weight it.

Thanks everyone!!

You can see the seam in the second image. These novelty pieces are after-Mint alterations and sell for a few dollars each.
