It is likely we could help your medal. It is difficult to tell for certain if the malady shown on your coin is a residue that can be removed or the beginnings of a staining or some combination of the two. At the very least we should be able to improve the appearance of your piece and prevent any potential damage from becoming worse. We would have to see the medal in person to determine for certain what might be done with your medal.
