Yes, it is Belgian, but I bought it from a French dealer. I've been collecting French, Belgian and Swiss medals for a couple years now. Here are some others:

 

 

 

 

 

So far, I've accumulated almost 300 in sizes from 35mm-75mm in diameter. Some are rectangular (plaques) usually about 60mmX100mm. Many of them are in bronze while others are in copper, silver or gilded. It has been alot of fun collecting them and you just don't see designs like this on most American medals.

Well this Waterloo Medal arrived today in the mail. I did not realize the true size of this piece. Maulemall was not kidding when he said I would be surprised at the heft of the piece. These photos show the toning that is there which was not very evident on the other pics. Also shows the medal next to a Franklin Half.
