Hi there

 

just found this on ebay UK listed as 1760 1/2 penny in good condition do you think it is the real thing ... it just seems it to good condition to others i have seen.. and the 99p start always puts me off.. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif i also cannot remember the 1/2p coin having the Star between Voce Populi ?

I have seen them graded with the star (or whatever the mark is above the top of the head) but I can not tell you if this particular coin is real or counterfeit. I do know there are a lot of contemporary counterfeits out there.
