Your instructions say "Do not send coins in capsules – coins received in capsules or stapled or taped flips will be charged a removal fee of $1 per coin." Do I have to remove the coins from their capsules? I remember you said in a previous post that coins should be in their original capsules to minimize human touch. Which way? Thanks.

Thanks for your question.

There is no charge to have coins removed from U.S. Mint Capsules. We did change this policy, as we believe it is safest for coins to be sent in these capsules and removed by our expert handlers in the NGC Receiving Department.

We do charge $1/coin to remove your coins from stapled flips, taped flips, SEALED capsules, airtites, and cointains.

The proper way to send coins (other than in U.S. Mint Capsules as issued) is to place each coin into its own non-PVC flips.
