One of the three invoices I have in "Received" is 54 - 2007 P Sac's. Would you be interested in trading a Denver MS70 for a Philly MS70? wink.gif

Dwaine,

Perhaps a bit of hope for you. I just found out that a group of 14 world coins I submitted on the 11th are about 5 days ahead of schedule. Plus they indicate that they Turnaround times for Economy is now down to 27 from 29 days.

Cool, good luck to your submissions. I don't mind waiting just it seems that the turn around times keep increasing. The good thing is that the majority of mine are on the Modern and Modern Special which is about 16 to 18 days with two orders at the Economy level.

Actually, this is the first time that I really have looked at raw coins and selected which ones to send in. So I am rather pleased, would have liked a few more 67's but I am not going to be greedy. I will probably give the 64 to one of my nephew's.

I have done it in the past with Half Dollars and can spot a 67 quite easily

I went through a few rolls of "P" Washingotns and have about 8 to send in EVENTUALLY as I picking through SBA's now ...

Good Job

Well, my 11 Early Release SAE Proof's just went into Scheduled for grading. They arrived on 4/17. The turnaround time is 16 days and this is day 9 so I wonder how many days they will stay in scheduled and how many days they will stay in Quality Control?

I almost forgot. I also sent in the 2005-S KS 25c Mint Error. It has a large die gouge on the buffalo. It posted yesterday, too!

How can an error be 70??

Bruce, as you can see from the photo, there is no break in the cameo surface. Apparently, the die was damaged at some point during it's production, and the surface was finished afterward. It came to be a pleasant surprise for me because I wasn't sure if NGC would see it that way. I don't know if it would be considered rare that a Mint Error coin, in spite of its abnormality, would still receive this highest designation, but it makes me happy.

I mailed three separate invoices in one package on April 11. All of them were for the Modern tier. One of the invoices was for six coins, two SAE 20th Anniversary Sets, one was for the fifty-four 2007-P Sac's, and the third was for another six coins, a GW $ Mint Error (missing the edge lettering) and a 2005-S Silver Proof States Quarters Set that includes the KS Mint Error. NGC logged them as received on April 13.

NGC shipped the SAE's on April 26, and I received them on April 28. That is a turnaround time of 9 business days in-house. Excellent! I was also notified that the other invoices were shipped on April 30 and I expect that I will receive them today or tomorrow. Still, this is a turnaround time of 11 business days in-house.

The only problem that arose concerned the two error coins. The online submission form would not allow me to submit the GW Mint Error on a separate invoice so I had to include it with the States Quarters. At the same time, I wanted to be sure that the KS 25c was also graded as a Mint Error. So, I flagged the invoice "Mint Error", listed the KS 25c on Line #1, the GW $ on Line #2 and the remaining States Quarters on Lines #3-6.

On Friday, April 13, when the invoices were posted as "Received" at NGC, I noted that a new, separate invoice had been created for the GW $. I was at work at the time, so on Monday, April 16, I called NGC and spoke to Patrick in Customer Service. I explained that I wanted to be sure that the KS 25c was treated as a Mint Error, and Patrick passed this information along. The grades were finally posted on Monday, April 30, and I immediately noticed that no Error designation was given to the KS 25c. Again, I phoned NGC and spoke to Patrick and the oversight was corrected the same day.

I want to thank Patrick for his invaluable assistance regarding this matter, and my hat is off to NGC for their prompt service. My only regret is that I didn't get any 69's in that batch of Sacagawea's. To be sure, I will examine them carefully when they arrive.
