How to submit silver proof sets?

2 posts in this topic

Hi NGC,

Do I have to crack open the plastic cases and put the coins in flips or can I submit the cases in and NGC takes them out? Any additional fees if you open the cases? Thanks.

You can send coins in U.S. Mint Proof Sets to NGC in their packaging. If you are having all the coins in the Proof Set graded, there is no charge for removal.

If you are not grading all coins in the set, however, we charge $1/coin for each coin that is not graded. Ungraded coins are returned to you in flips, and you are not charged and additional handling fee for coins that are graded.
