The coin looks out of focus. Perhaps the camera is focusing on the plastic as the pattern on the edge of the plastic seems sharp.

yes a scan i suck at this !!!!

Take the coin out of the capsule. The scan of the capsule looks great, maybe because it's flat on the scanner bed. Try it. Do it with a low value coin first, though, to test.

I think he needs to take his glasses off - Thats what I do

Something with the LCD screen and my glasses DO NOT WORK ...

 

( I really do not know if he wears glasses but my results are evident )
