I kinda figured that would be the assesment. It's also a little difficult to see in those tiny pics (the 100kb limit really stinks)

An illusion, draw a straight line along the top of the motto on the obv, you'll see that the whole Ike is rotated clockwise just a tad, throwing the reverse into a rotated state. The U in United and the last A in America on the reverse will also re-align with the adjustment of the obverse.
