1921 Peace dollar with no lettering on back??

Would anyone happen to know anything about an 1921 Peace dollar with no lettering on the reverse and an eagle facing the left opposed to the regular one facing the viewer's right. Someone is selling it on ebay along with some other coins, but he knows nothing about coins and won't send me a picture of the back of the coin. Thanks

Most likely a counterfeit, a fake or a poorly done reproduction piece. Steer clear!

I have never head of any such thing.

 

I would demand a picture or pass.

 

Even with a picture I would not spend any more money than I would on a bet that I knew I was not going to win.

I would also say steer clear. It is a fake and the seller is probably very aware of that fact.

I agree. Very common, and not a mint product.

There is not way that this item came from the U.S. mint. The devices on modern coin dies are applied all at once, not punched in one letter at a time. This can't be a modern pattern.
