Baltimore Day 1: Travelling

Not much to say on the actual convention, however I write this update from our hotel room as we've made it safely and successfully into the Baltimore area. Tomorrow will be a journey into the Washington DC area for the Smithsonian Institution and the National Coin Collection as well as other sights in the area. The journey took around 11 hours to drive 700 miles from Nashville (including fuel/food/rest stops), and we took the lesser of two evil routes and stayed out of the DC Beltway (as we would have hit it during evening rush hour).

 

I looked up the Convention schedule this evening, and I can tell right now, I'm going to be BUSY and not much of it will be on the bourse floor (don't worry though... I plan to spend my fair share of time on the bourse as well as the exhibits, auctions, and presentations).

 

But the good news for today is that our party arrived safely and with all the necessary items for the Convention.

 

Update planned for tomorrow evening about this time (also to include pictures if I can get them uploaded due to being on dialup instead of DSL as normal).
