How many different coins has Jefferson appeared on?

Or more specifically, how many differnt portraits of Jefferson have there been?

I can think of five...

1) The nickel portrait we all grew up with.

2) The 'Close Face' protrait of the Westward Journey nickel series

3) The 'Return to Monticello' nickel protrait

4) The 1993 Commemorative Dollar

5) The 2007 Presidential Series Dollar

Any others?

"Faces of Jefferson" might make a nice type set, maybe even a multi-coin slab set.

If we limit this discussion to US coinage then we must add at least the 1903 gold dollar commemorative and 1991 Mount Rushmore half and silver dollar commemoratives.

Shows you what I know... never heard of that one before, but that's why I asked the question. Cool looking coin, though...(just googled the image)

and 1991 Mount Rushmore half and silver dollar commemoratives.

I wouldn't have thought of those, but you're right.

Those could also be inicluded in a Washington Portrait Type Set:

1999 $5 gold

1982 $0.50

2007 $1

Pre-Statehood Quarter

Statehood Quarter

If you are doing a Washington portrait set then you must include the 1900 Lafayette commemorative dollar and 1926 Sesquicentennial commemorative half.
