Toning / Grading / Policy

2 posts in this topic

Hi - Guys

I am thinking about purchasing a 1883 Liberty Nickel NGC PR66 Cameo

I am not one who likes toning and wish to see if NCS can help at least lighten the toning to a more agreeable look. If you Accept the coin to do so, does this also guarantee that after your done and resend it BACK to NGC for Encapsulation it will still be the same grade and attribute.

Without seeing your coin, it may be possible to lighten the toning on your piece.

Part of the initial evaluation of your coin is to see if the coin would at least maintain its currently stated grade following the conservation. If it is felt there is significant risk to the grade following conservation, then your coin will not be conserved. There is no explicit guarantee that your coin will maintain at least the same currently stated grade.
