1976 American Revolution Bicentennial medal

2 posts in this topic

I just ran across this NGC-graded American Revolution Bicentennial medal. The NGC insert says "1976 GOLD MEDAL .89 OZ" however the auction description says:

We have been advised that this medal may NOT be .89oz. gold and may, in fact, be a mistake by NGC.
1051_1.JPGIs this item .89 OZ of gold or did NGC make a mistake? Or does the insert not indicate that the medal is .89 OZ of gold?

They grade those things? I have one if you want it raw. I think they made them in gold and bronze. I think they also plated the bronze ones. Gold plated bronze, and then real bronze.

PM me if you want mine.
