Your coin is an eligible type. NGC does grade coins of this era. For general guidelines as to what World coins are eligible for NGC grading, please refer to this webpage:

It is possible that your coin cannot be graded by NGC due to some detrimental surface condition, such as improper cleaning. If you are concerned primarily about authenticity, I recommend that you send you coin to NCS for encapsulation. If your coin can be graded by NGC it will be graded by NGC, if not, it will be authenticated, encapsulated and details graded by NCS, provided the coin is genuine.
