"FUN" Morgans

6 posts in this topic

These are the only coins I bought at FUN this year. I know that there were probably others hidden away that I might have had a chance to buy, but I didn't have any luck finding them. However, looking on the bright side, at least I found the 1876 Centennial Award medal before Ron. bumpit.gifbumpit.gif

1879-S ANACS MS64DMPL: When I was looking at this coin, I was holding it about 12" in front of me and I could see the floral print on my shirt.

1883-CC PCGS MS64

1884-CC Raw: This and the '83-CC were my first purchases. These CC's are the ones I got for 30% off the listed price even thought his asking price was very reasonable. The "hit" in the obverse field near her chin really doesn't bother me that much and it should grade 63PL.

1878 8TF: If you're wondering why I bought two of them, it is because I'm working on a specific variety series for the 8TF. I will be posting microscopic images in another thread at a later time. I've found the 8TF series really fascinating.

The 78'P is the creme de la creme of this group IMHO

79s has breast feathers that justy dont do it for me in an "s" mint coin - The obverse is a sweetie though

The 83cc is a Breast thing again 893scratchchin-thumb.gif and the '84 too 893scratchchin-thumb.gif I wonder if I am developing a " BREAST " fetish smile.gif

Looks like another '78 at the end but no reverse - Chatter on the chin is very distracting

OOOOOPPPPPPSSSSS - Must be posting at the same time grrrrrr

Both '78 arre my fav's

Chris,

Great additions! The DMPL and 83-CC really stand out as particularly nice, and I can appreciate the toughness of some of the varieties too. Congrats.

It was also very nice to meet you and I'm sorry that we didn't get to spend more time together.

Take care....Mike
