Maine quarter recall.

8 posts in this topic

(AP) - The U.S. Mint announced today that it has commenced a recall of

the New Maine Quarter. Severe vending machine problems has forced the

Mint to initiate the recall, much to the dismay of the general Maine

population. Mint officials state that they had no choice but to remove

the much anticipated new quarter from circulation, less that 24 hours

after it's release due to its inability to work in virtually all coin

operated machines. Pay phones, Coke machines, vending machines of all

types, even the automated toll booths on 95 failed to accept the new

tender. It seems that the duct tape holding the two dimes and the nickel

together was getting stuck in the works.

Uh oh, and Missouri and Arkansas are next. shocked.gif Well, heck fire, y'all reckon that all of dem pennies will stick together for da new quarter?

P.S. I was born in Arkansas so I can poke fun. grin.gif
