Does NGC designate 1979-P SBA Dollars as "Near Date" or "Far Date?" If so, is this a Variety Plus service or part of the regular grading?

Also, there are differences between 1979 SBA Dollars and a souvenir set sold by the branch mints, sometimes called Special Mint Sets. Does NGC recognize those varieties? If so, does it require Variety Plus service?

THANKS!

Yes we recognize the “Wide” and “Narrow” rim SBA dollars and they are done automatically with out extra fees. For more information on the varieties NGC does please check out our website http://www.ngccoin.com/VPCategories.aspx

NGC currently does not recognize any difference between mint set and none mint set United States coins before 2005.
