6 posts in this topic

New to the NGC boards. Thought I would share my economy submission results

with you. 8 buffalo nickels submitted on 6/6

1913-S type II (cleaned/reverse scratch)

1914-D AU-58 ,bought at AU-55

1916-S AU-55 ,bought at AU-55

1917-D AU-58 ,bought at AU-55

1918-S (improperly cleaned, and I thought it was mint luster, doh!!)

1921-S AU-53 , was in dad's XF collection as XF-45

1924-S AU-55 , was in dad's XF collection as XF-45

1926-S AU-55 , was in dad's XF collection as XF-45

I guess ole dad was a tight grader, though his glasses were quite thick

I'm sure glad the the pricey coins didn't take a hit smile.gif

Buffalo's are graded MUCH looser now than in years past. Especially those early branch mint coins.

Those later dates would be in high demand if/when you sell them.

Congratulations.

Thanks bigd5,

Thanks for the info. You are right, this is the 2nd set of submissions

I have sent in and all but a few have gone up a grade or two.

Do you know how much these are roughly worth. I have looked in the blue book

and the red book, even trends, but they only list the solid grades and not the XF45, AU53, 55, 58 prices frown.gif

prices.

Thanks,

Brian
