Thanks. I messed up the reverse pic. It should be as dark as the obverse. A planchet with no pits was unusual at the time. Old copper is really special.

Larry, your 1814 is amazing and the holed 1796 appears to be a Conder token.

Thanks Tom. You are correct as usual. Found one on ebay just like it. I never knew it was called a Conder.

I have to wonder what all types of keys hung with this over the years.

That one is cool, too, what is on the other side?

 

The Conder token previously shown is D&H 1041 produced in Middlesex. The side with the plow states "INDUSTRY * SUPPLIETH * WANT". The edge should state "<<<<< PAYABLE IN LONDON <<<<<".
