Does NGC plan to use color inserts?

Gold coins would look very nice with a dark background for example. Gold in ICG intercept shield (dark brown) looks very attractive. Is there a possiblity that NGC would allow the option to use color insert?

Not at this time. NGC guarantees all the coins that we certify, and we have the best holder available for long-term storage.

 

Colorized plastics require that we use pigments that have different properties those used in our white insert. We will not offer other color options until we have tested them and are satisfied with their stability and fitness for long-term storage and protection of your coins.
