My First Toner

Everybody's got a first time.

 

While I had bought coins with toning before this coin, this was the first coin (circa 1989) I bought specifically for the toning. While by my current standards it is nothing spectacular, it still floats my boat. It is graded PCGS MS66FB in an old rattler holder.

Here's mine. It was a raw 1955-S Roosevelt dime purchased on April 2, 1995 for $8. In the intervening years it was sent once to PCGS, along with a slew of other toned Roosevelts, and came back MS66.
