I bought it as BU but I think it's more AU....Any opinions??

Nice! I would agree with an AU assessment.

 

There are two DDRs known for this date, one is very dramatic and the other one is less dramatic, but still doubled.

 

I think this is the second type, but I don't have a picture of that. I do have a picture of the first type, but your daughter's coin does not match it. Anyhoo, the FS-# for the second type is 018.1.

 

Anyways, it's a nice nickel!

If it is AU, it's a very nice AU-58. I would pay BU money for it. Nice coin!

 

The doubling on "Five Cents" looks to me to be mechanical doubling, but I will defer to those who can give a more knowlegable opinion.
