How to take coin photos

The photos posted here are really impressive and I'm interested in getting into it. I found this ShieldNickels.net article which I'm going to try. Are there other good articles worth looking at?

Are there any specific tips for proof and other coins with highly polished, mirror-like surfaces? Right now I'm getting a reflection of the camera in the surface which I'd like to get rid of.
