Re the 'blue indians,' just because they are acceptable to the greater market does not mean they are acceptable to everyone.

 

Grading (and originality) is indeed subjective and collectors need to educate themselves before engaging in a niche market such as toned Indian Head Cent proofs.

The before and after pics of the certain coin owned by a New Jersey firm looked exactly the same. That coin was not MS70'd.

I wasn't referring to that coin and maybe not even Legend!

 

As for the coin I believe TDN is alluding to, it looking the same in the PF65 & PF66 slab still doesn't mean it wasn't MS70ed.
