Panda Registry Set Outstanding Issues

There are a couple of outstasnding issues in the Panda registry sets. This post is for the 10Y silver sets only. The 5Y also has issues but I'll leave those for an other day. As far as I know none of these are controversial or new. I 'm pretty sure NGC (Jay) agreed to them several months ago, they've just not been implemented.

 

10Y Silver incuding varieties

- 1995 Small Twig needs to be split into large and small date varieties

- 1999 Large date needs to be split into Plain and Serif varieties

 

10Y Silver Proof

-1997, 1998, & 1999 colored proofs need to get moved here from the commemorative set

 

10Y Silver Commemorative set

- There is a 2004 ICBA Coin that needs to be added

- There is a 2006 Horticultural Expo Coin that needs to be added

I had no idea there were so many varieties within the Panda group before I started buying them. It does make the collection more fun.

 

One pet peeve I have is that the 1989 MS69 is counted as 563 points in the 10Y one per year set and only 304 points in the varieties set. They need to pick one value and stay with it.

 

My thanks for Larry and others in helping NGC fine tune these registry sets.
