Code of Ethics for Coin Conservators

NCS is not a member of the AIC so we do not adhere to those standards of ethics specifically. The code specified by the AIC does set the basic operating procedure we use when it comes to conserving a numismatic item. For example, we do evaluate each coin to determine if any conservation work is necessary and a benefit to the piece both in terms of it's aesthetic beauty and it's long-term storage stability. We are careful to only perform the minimum work that will meet this end.

For more information on our operating procedure, see our list of frequently asked questions on the NCS website.
